12 Amazon Finds You Need for Your Upper Elementary Classroom!

·

Are you constantly ordering things from Amazon? It seems to be the norm these days for teachers (and really anyone). Over the years I’ve ordered a lot, so I’ve compiled a list of 12 things that have been so helpful in my 4th grade classroom! Check them out below.

For Students

Let me tell you, my students were SO excited that I have these on hand everyday for them. Something so simple, yet means a lot to them and makes their life a little bit easier.

Looking to reward your students, but don’t want to break the bank. Water bottle stickers are all the rage right now and come at the perfect price point!

Do you have squirmy students? These bands have been so helpful for my students- they allow students to stay seated and focused, yet still get their energy out.Β

For Organization

I love having these on my front board with a little greenery and the read aloud book we are reading at the time.

I have used my cart for a few different things over the years, but it is always helpful. From collecting papers to storing supplies, this little cart is a must have for the classroom.

For the first time this past year, I put Velcro on my classroom calendar. What a game changer it was… most months I actually changed the calendar on time!

For the Teacher

Tired of cutting out letters for your bulletin boards? Want to customize them? Then the Cricut is the thing for you! I’ve had mine for about two years now, and it is one of the best things I’ve ever bought for my classroom.

Walking to the teachers lounge to put my lunch in the fridge daily didn’t seem appealing to me, so I went in search of a lunch box with ice packs in it. This has been a game changer for me, as it saves me so much time in the morning. It is also great for traveling and the beach!

Looking to brighten up your classroom… use astrobright paper with your Cricut! They are the perfect pair to make your room look bright and cheery all year long!

For Teaching

Teaching your students how to use a protractor? If yes, then you NEED this giant protractor. It works so well for teaching, and the kids love using it. I added some magnetic tape to the back so that it sticks to my board.

I can remember my first year of teaching and I ordered a class set of mini dry-erase boards. A co-worker laughed at me and couldn’t believe I was spending half of my allotted money on individual boards for each student. Well, over a decade later I still have many of those same boards, and I use them all. the. time. Check out my blog post about how to use mini whiteboards in the classroom.

I’ll be honest, these came to me much later in my teaching career. I thought they were mostly for younger students, but I was wrong. They are great for center work and for saving paper! My students also use them daily for our fluency work.

What is missing from this list? Tell me what your favorite Amazon classroom supplies are in the comments!
