For All Saints Day, my students were doing saint reports. I found it best to research myself first and have a list of appropriate saints for students to research to make sure they stay safe. The research was a huge help in guiding the research process. This project was a big deal and took the students a long time but I was very impressed with the results. The question notes made the biggest difference. It pushed the students to put in that extra effort that got the writing process started and guided to to understand the kind of information that was important and the order in which they could organize their paper to make it make sense.
